The Depot, Salem and restored 1929 Monon caboose Commemorating the role Salem played in the 1847 organization of the New Albany & Salem Rail Road, which later became the Monon. The Depot is a repository for railroad memorabilia and toy and model trains. The Depot is a part of the John Hay Center, a museum, historic exhibit and pioneer village.
